Metamorphic Analysis & Metamorphic Field Gradients

Contributions to Metamorphic studies:

Thematic contributions to metamorphic geology include; recognition of mineral re-equilibration without recrystallization during reworking (Goscombe et al., 1998); establishing the nature of contrasting metamorphic evolutions in different domains within orogens, both along and across strike (Goscombe & Hand, 2000; Goscombe et al., 2003, 2004); recognising multiple granulite facies events (Goscombe 1992a,b,c; Goscombe et al., 2003c) and the thermobarometric response to transpressional orogenesis (Goscombe et al., 2003b, 2004).
