• 7th-18th November 2007: Invited to talk at the International Association for Gondwana Research symposium at Kyushu University, Japan and receive 2006 Best Paper Award for a paper on the crustal architecture of the Himalayas in Eastern Nepal.

• October 2007: Journal of Structural Geology Photograph of the Month (pseudo-boudinage), is available online at Science Direct.

• 21st-27th September 2007: Attended field workshop in the northern Yilgarn Craton. Invited to present findings on East Yilgan Craton Metamorphism at Kalgoorlie07 Conference. The metamorphic contribution and all components of the now mature, integrated Y4 program (structure, fluids, modelling, provenance, geochemistry...) recieved commendations from Dr Tim Griffin (Director GSWA), Greg Hall (Australian Mineral Fields), Prof. Campbell McCuaig (Director CET) and Dr Jon Hronsky (Western Mining Services).

• 1st June 2006: Start of long-term research contract to document the metamorphic evolution of the eastern Yilgarn Craton (EYCMP). EYCMP is a component of the wider Y4 Project, is funded by pmd*CRC with support from GSWA and GA and ends on 30th June 2008. EYCMP is undertaken in collaboration with Richard Blewett (Team Leader) and Karol Czarnota of Geoscience Australia, Roland Maas of Melbourne University, Bruce Groenewald of Geological Survey of Western Australia, with input from the wider Y4 team (Andy Barnicoat, John Walshe, Heather Sheldon, Yanhua Zhang, John Miller, Ned Stolz, Peter Neumayr, Rick Squire, David Champion, Paul Henson...), GSWA staff (Steve Wyche, Martin Van Kranendonk, Charlotte Hall) and technical support (Angus Netting, Michael Verrall, Greg Hitchen, Paul Hamilton, Liz Webber, Bill Pappas).

• 21st Janurary 2006: ITAC venture established in Malalcahuello Village, Chile.
