Geological Mapping

Considerable field experience in a wide range of different geological provinces, from oceanic crust to sapphirine granulites. Fieldwork experience has averaged 4.5 months per year and was built on a foundation of 12.5 years mapping for government geological surveys in Africa and Australia.

Geological Provinces with first hand mapping and field experience:

  • East Tasmania deformed turbidite sequences (1983-1996)
  • West Tasmania low metamorphic grade Neoproterozoic sequences (1983-1996)
  • East Antarctica high-grade metamorphics (1985)
  • Arunta Province high-grade metamorphics (1984-1987, 2004-2007)
